Product Design Manager

Humankind is partnering with a Fortune 500 e-commerce company to find a Manager, Product Design to lead their growing design team in Playa Vista, Los Angeles. This is a rare opportunity to own design strategy at scale — shaping experiences that touch millions of customers making one of the biggest purchases of their lives.

You'll lead multiple Product Designers across complex product areas, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to set the bar for quality, consistency, and craft across the entire ecosystem.

What you’ll do.

• Define and drive design strategy across multiple product areas, aligned to business and user outcomes.

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of Product Designers with clear expectations and genuine career paths.

• Influence product, engineering, and senior leadership through strong systems thinking and storytelling.

• Drive operational excellence by improving how work gets prioritized, scoped, and resourced.

• Champion a user-centered, inclusive design culture where craft and curiosity show up in every decision.

What we’re looking for.

• 10+ years of experience in Product Design or UX.

• 3+ years in a formal people management role.

• Proven success leading multiple teams across complex, cross-platform initiatives.

• Deep expertise in design systems, UX strategy, and the full product development lifecycle.

• A natural ability to influence strategy and stakeholders at an organizational level.
